The DAX managed a meagre 0.13 percent on Monday at the start of the week. A restrained performance of the German leading index, if it is up to investors. After positive news regarding the Ukraine war had been sent out into the world from Rome, hopes were somewhat greater that the stock markets could benefit more from it.
All in all, the trading day was positive and the outlook for the trading week looks promising. This week, the figures on inflation development in Germany are still due, i.e. a further impulse towards a new all-time high is within the realm of possibility. Above all, the fact that China is gradually showing the US president the limits is likely to hit him in a good mood. Consequently, investors should be prepared for corresponding reactions from Washington. Immediate volatility would be the result.
Airbus flies away from the rest of the DAX shares
Airbus' shares topped the list on Monday and were able to achieve a gain of over 2 percent. At the bottom of the DAX list, Rheinmetall shares had to join the ranks. As talks on a ceasefire in Ukraine progress, investors are starting to see their skins swimming away and starting to reap their profits.
If the DAX takes 22,650 points, a new all-time high will follow
In terms of charts, it does indeed look as if the DAX could already pick up momentum again with a short breather today, Tuesday. The short-term target of the German benchmark index is likely to be the price mark at 22,650 points already mentioned yesterday. If this mark is exceeded, the DAX will reach another milestone towards a new all-time high.
