DAX Momentum Builds: Markets Eye All-Time High

DAX on the Upswing: A Steady Course Northward

The positive development of the German stock index continued on Tuesday. Cautiously, yet purposefully, the DAX moved further upward, closing the trading day with a gain of just under 0.7 percent at 22,425 points. Investors are closely observing this upward movement, as the chart technology suggests a so-called V-shaped reversal. Such corrections are often characterized by momentum and can lead to new record highs after a significant price decline.

After earlier market movements, influenced by political developments, had caused uncertainty, a certain relaxation is now emerging. Decisions have been made that bring relief, for example, in the area of trade policy for the automotive industry. Even the publication of labor market data from the USA, which fell short of expectations (fewer job openings than anticipated), could not stop the positive trend on the stock markets. Overall, Tuesday proceeded calmly and positively, which nourishes investors' expectations of further price gains.

Winners and Challenges in the DAX

The shares of Rheinmetall performed particularly strongly on Tuesday with an increase of over 8 percent, followed by the papers of Deutsche Bank (+5%) and Commerzbank (+3.9%). At the other end of the performance list were the shares of Porsche AG, which continue to suffer from a cautious sales forecast.

Conclusion: Solid Basis for Further Gains

Overall, the DAX leaves a stable impression. Important influencing factors appear to be developing in a generally positive direction, at least until potentially surprising news emerges. The probability of a further upward movement of the DAX remains fundamentally in place. Technically, the index currently shows no significant signs of weakness, making the achievement of a new all-time high increasingly realistic.
