DAX Between Record Hopes and Crash Fears: What's Next?

DAX in thrills: Showdown between record hunt and crash fear!

Only superlatives go on the stock exchanges, the German stock index between all-time high and abyss. At least that's how opinions seem to be positioning themselves at the moment. Extremely in one direction or the other, although the direction of the all-time high is likely to please investors better than a look at the abyss. On the weekend, at least the world's most important politicians came together in Rome to pay their last respects to the late Holy Father. The funeral service seems surreal, as it is the political issues that determine the funeral service. Political images are doing the rounds of a one-on-one conversation between Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Zelensky, which could point the way to a peaceful future. Did it really take the death of the Pope to find the way to a ceasefire? If this is the case, impulses on the stock markets are likely to be inevitable and it is always positive if the protagonists succeed in ending this terrible and unnecessary war. The DAX can actually take advantage of this situation towards a new all-time high.

These stocks rocked the week: These are the DAX winners

The signs of the last few weeks are positive and the direction is right, the DAX has had the strongest week of the last two years due to volatility. The best stocks in the German stock index last week were the shares of Infineon (+13%), Siemens (10%) and Bayer (9%). With the approaching peace, the high-flyer Rheinmetall share had to join the lower end of the DAX list with a minus of 5 percent.

22,650 points: The DAX's mark of fate

The DAX is riding a wave of optimism, at least until the next target at 22,650 points. At 22,650 points, there is a risk of a price fall due to profit-taking, which would make it more difficult for investors and investors to cross this resistance. However, if this resistance is overcome, there is only one price mark left that can prevent a new all-time high. This price mark is 23,200 points.
