The ActivTrades Financial Trading Summit 2016

The ActivTrades Summit was a great success! There were hundreds of attendees who benefited from the presentations of nine renowned speakers. All of the delegates were able to leave with the presentations and received access to an online trading course worth  £495.

A survey conducted  showed that 97% of people rated the Summit between 4-5*, with 85% people stating that they were very likely to open a live account.

We would like to thank everyone that attended and participated on the day and we look forward to seeing you at the next event.

Paul Wallace

After a career in the Royal Air Force Paul started trading whilst working in the City during the dot-com boom of the late nineties. Paul is now a professional financial trader with more than 24 years’ experience working in competitive, results-driven, performance environments.

He has experience trading both as an individual and for funds. Paul has always been fascinated by success, achievement and peak performance, whether on the battlefield, sports-field, boardroom or financial markets. In 2015 he started the Veterans Trader Project where he helps provide trading education to those Veterans looking to transition from the military to financial markets.

He blogs about his own trading at FXTraderPaul.com. He runs the trader support practice, Tradingbeliefs, helping traders manage and improve their overall performance.

Martin is full time Trader, Trading Educator and Mentor who is passionate about perfecting and teaching his trading techniques.  He started trading Forex in April 2008 and attended an International Traders Conference that October, where he met his former Forex mentors.

Prior to trading, Martin served in the Royal Navy for 36 years, joining at 16 as an apprentice technician and leaving as a senior Commander and Chartered Engineer.  He served in many ships including HMS Tiger, Brilliant, Fearless, Apollo, Avenger and Coventry and travelled extensively.  He also worked in various organisations in the MOD, such as equipment projects, Fleet Head Quarters and Navy Support organisations, latterly serving as an Internal Consultant and as a Head of Strategy Development.

Zak Mir has been involved with most areas of the City of London finance space for the best part of 30 years, as a stockbroker and derivatives dealer in the 1990s and then a financial analyst and commentator since 2000 – appearing on Bloomberg, CNBC and the BBC. He witnessed and took part in the original Fintech and Dotcom explosion at the turn of the millennium, and is hence fully equipped to advise those in these areas now, where they are going right and wrong.

Entering banking directly from University in 1985, his entire career has involved him in one facet or another of the currency markets.  From 1985-2009, he worked in foreign exchange trading and latterly sales for banks in the City. Neal joined Thomsonreuters in Sept 09, where he wrote columns on currency issues for the wire, contributed commentary on the FX market and made regular appearances on currency-related shows for the Reuters Insider channel.

Since January 2015, he has been freelance with various clients for whom he contributes content and views about the foreign exchange markets and the general state of the world economy. As well as presenting ActivTrades News and writing articles  he currently writes a weekly column for the South China Morning Post in Hong Kong.
